Our staff come from a wide range of backgrounds and working experiences. We have over 30 years of experience between us, working with people of all ages. across the Midlands as well as overseas.

Rachel Ortiz - director

Rachel is a trained youth worker and has been involved in youth work for 20 years. She helped write the first 'Feel Good Factor' (FGF) for girls’ program in Burton. She has also launched several FGF train the trainer sessions for teachers and TAs, some of which are still going five years on. Rachel is a trained singer and tutor with PopUK, a Primary school SMSC/Pop singing project. For the last seven years Rachel has worked within care settings delivering high quality singing sessions.

Jim Allen - director

Jim has had extensive experience working alongside children and older people in schools and community settings for over fifteen years. He started out working within the film and music industry in the 1990’s before training as a community musician. He has run numerous projects working with children and adults , supporting positive mental health and well-being. He sings and plays numerous instruments and is a trained sound recordist and engineer.

Daniel Ortiz- Tutor

Dan has been a youth worker for 17 years, starting out in Bolivia, where he was born. For the past five years, he has written and developed courses for Bright Futures alongside colleagues. With 18 years martial arts experience, he relished coaching children through the Ninja School program. He is also a keen researcher and loves measuring the effect of the programmes where they are delivered in schools. At the end of each programme, he shares his findings with the school in a final report.
